Custom UV Circular Dichroism Spectroscopy

Rx Biosciences offers a range of custom far-UV, near-UV, and visible-range Circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy services. Starting from in-house FPLC, HPLC purified samples, or customer-supplied samples, our well-trained scientists optimize the concentration, buffer, cuvette path length, and other parameters for ideal CD spectroscopic analysis.  Automated temperature control and titration accessories assist in accurately and rapidly completing the experiments.  The JASCO J-810 equipment is routinely calibrated and maintained by a JASCO team of engineers.

Features of our services:
  • Projects are handled by scientists trained in proteomics and spectroscopic studies.
  • Calibrated and maintained by JASCO periodically.
  • Appropriate controls are included.
  • Raw and analyzed data is provided at the end.
  • Rapid turnaround time.
  • Project customization.
  • One-stop service for gene cloning, expression, protein purification, CD, and NMR.

Services offered by us:
  • Determination of the native conformation of biomolecules (helical, pleated, random).
  • Detection of changes in protein conformation (folding/unfolding) by controlled changes in salt, pH, and buffer conditions.
  • Thermal stability of proteins during forward and reverse melting (denaturation and renaturation).
  • Determination of changes in the secondary structure of a protein or polypeptide caused by ligand binding.
  • Generation of guanidinium hydrochloride melt curves.
  • Analysis of the purity and stability of optically active substances of different batches.
  • Preliminary stability testing of proteins before NMR analysis.
Sample Requirements:
  • Purity: 90-95% (for most of the experiments), 98 to 100% for NMR studies.
  • Concentration: > 0.1 – 0.5mg /ml (sample concentration service is available)
  • Volume: 200ul to 100ul depending on service
