Our Approach
At Rx Biosciences, we typically use the yeast display system to monitor antibody maturation during the phage display cDNA library development process. In this approach, we express antibodies on the surface of yeast cells and allow them to bind with antigens under progressively stringent conditions. As a result, only high-affi nity antigen-binding yeast cells are selected.
We then isolate these selected populations using Fluorescence-Assisted Cell Sorting (FACS), which allows for precise identifi cation and sorting. Following this, we purify the antibody using affi nity chromatography to ensure high yield and purity. Moreover, this method enables detailed characterization of binding specifi city and strength, making it highly eff ective for downstream applications such as therapeutic development and epitope mapping.
