Our Approach

Rx Biosciences prepares nylon membranes robotically printed with bacterial cells from 96 or 384 well plates. We use one of the best quality nylon membranes for printing. The high density membranes are pre-processed and ready-to-use for hybridization experiments using radioactive or non-radioactive DIG-labeled probes. A template is provided for easy location of Positive Clones which can be retrieved from the original plate.

Commonly used gridding patterns
  1. Membrane with duplicate clones:
  2. Membrane with single clones: A 22.5 cm x 22.5cm membrane printed with 9,216 or 18,432 clones per filter
  3. A 22.5 cm x 22.5cm membrane printed with 18432 or 36,864 clones per filter in duplicate.
Gridding Layout

A 22.5 cmx22.5 cm membrane is divided into 6 areas. Each area is spotted with clones at a low or higher density based as per requirement of the project. The area of the membrane, number of clones and gridding pattern is provided in the following table
